What to Include in Your Wedding Dessert Table

Wedding desserts are without a doubt the stars of the show when it comes to food!

When planning my wedding, I put so much thought into choosing desserts that weren’t just delicious but also looked absolutely beautiful.

I wanted treats that felt special, added to the décor, and, most importantly, left my guests raving. And let me tell you, these were a huge hit!

How I Planned My Dessert Table

Make the dessert table personal

Instead of doing one giant cake, we had a mix of all our favorite sweet treats. Mini cupcakes, cookies, and donuts made it feel more fun and gave people choices. It was one of the most “us” parts of the whole wedding!

Mix homemade with bakery treats

To save money (and add a homemade touch), we made a few desserts ourselves and ordered the rest from a local bakery. It worked out perfectly. Guests honestly loved the mix and it gave the table a sweet, homey vibe.

Keep sizes small and bite-friendly

We went with mostly mini desserts so people could grab a few without committing to one big slice. Mini brownies, cheesecake bites, and even little jars of pudding were a hit. Plus, it made the display look super cute!

Add labels and display details

I printed out little name cards for each dessert and used cake stands, crates, and trays at different heights. It made the table pop! Don’t underestimate how much a few signs and decorations can pull the whole look together.

Add something interactive

We included a mini s’mores bar with a little burner and all the fixings, and it was so much fun! Everyone loved roasting marshmallows and building their own treat. It made the dessert table feel like part of the celebration, not just something to eat and move on.
